Who We Work With
When it comes right down to it, the true answer to this question is, “anyone who needs our help”. At SPARK, it is our desire to provide support for any child who may learn differently than others. When it comes to learning, one size does not fit all! With that said, it does take a village to raise a child, and our services are available for that entire village whenever needed!
Kids
Every child is unique and learns at their own pace. Some littles need more help than others. Our goal is to help any child and family who needs support in determining where skills are breaking down and how to learn more effectively.
The Neurodivergent Population
“Neurodivergent” is a way of describing those who think, learn, feel, process, respond and communicate differently from their peers. They include, but are not limited to:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Attention Deficit Disorder
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
- Down's Syndrome
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder
- Tourette’s Syndrome
- Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
- Dyspraxia
- Social Anxiety
-
Learning Disabilities
Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia - And more!
Kids on Their Own Timeline
Some kiddos learn and function similarly to their same-aged peers, but might be a little slower to come out of their shell or meet milestones at the “expected” rate. These include:
- Late talkers
- Speech sounds
- Late motor milestones
- Struggling/preparing to read
- Kindergarten readiness
- Picky eaters
- Frequent or severe tantrums and meltdowns
- Interacting with other children
If any of these descriptions bring your child to mind, contact us for more information!
Parents, Caregivers & Families
Caregivers are essential partners and often the cornerstone of a child’s development and learning. At SPARK, we work with parents, caregivers, and families to address the needs and concerns you bring our way. It is our desire to equip your family with the tools needed to foster your child’s success and independence. Our team will work with you to identify skills, strengths, and goals. By prioritizing your needs and values in your child’s services, we will empower you to use strategies in your home and everyday routines that support your child in reaching their desired potential.
Community Partners & Other Professionals
A child’s learning is certainly not limited to home life; they also learn in their schools and communities! We provide consultation to SLPs and BCBAs, and other professionals in their respective roles and organizations. We are happy to collaborate with schools, early learning centers, and community partners to work towards our common goal of the child’s best interests and learning needs.
We are happy to collaborate with other professionals at the request of a family, but are also responsive to third-party inquiries. Additionally, we can provide individual case consultation or supporting professionals to build their own clinical capacity and skills through supervision, mentorship and consultation.
